Product Place was founded in 2015, with the vision to provide an invaluable service to professional photographers.
Our founder, Fiona, jumped feet first into the photography industry alongside her husband Adam in 2005 photographing weddings and portraits. While she loved shooting weddings- Fionas passion was always in the creation of the beautiful products that they could send home with their photography clients. From the joy of designing gallery wall sets, creating gorgeous wedding albums and choosing the perfect frame to suit her clients homes, a new passion was born for creating beautiful products not only for their own portrait clients but for the wider photographic community. On her 32nd birthday, her first large format printer arrived and a few months later, Product Place was born.
With years of experience as working professional photographers, having worked in our own business and in photographic studios in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast, we understood the hurdles and limitations in the ordering systems used in print houses, and decided to use technology to meet industry challenges head-on and create an app that would streamline the photography product ordering process, with our favourite features being that what you are ordering is visually displayed and with live cost updates as you custom order- so no waiting to be quoted or invoiced later.
